ROCK CRAWLER IN APPLE VALLEY CA.

Post by Matt2001TJ » Sat Jul 31, 2010 7:13 am

Hello everyone my name is Matt and I live in the high desert in Southern California. I am also a member of the Victor Valley 4 Wheelers (we built "The Hammers" trail system) four wheel drive club and own two 4x4 web sites as well. My Yaesu equipped rig is a 2001 Jeep wrangler sport with rough country 4" suspension lift, 3" body, winch, rock sliders, corner guards, rock lights, Dana 44/30 w/detroit lockers currently sitting on 35" super swamper boggers and some other stuff. I am lucky enough to have four major off road areas all 45 minutes or less from my home. Stoddard wells off road area, Calico with it's Doran and Odessa canyons and it's "gatekeeper" that swallows jeeps majority of the time. In Johnson Valley, "The Hammers" where carnage is normal to say the least. And my favorite, Big Bear with it's wonderful scenic and rocky trails alike. Here are a few pics of my rig in action.

Also, I heard about this site while I was on the Keller Peak repeater last thursday night doing a first time check in.

Thanks for the warm welcome guy's. Thursday nights at 7:30 is now marked on my net calender. As for Borrago I have not been down there for over three years. Going down that way to truck haven for new years is fun too.
