Taking the "Extra" Leap
Taking the "Extra" Leap
My stomach is in knots. I'm going try to take my test for Extra tomorrow (9/25). I've been cramming for a week and will be cramming some more tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully I can squeak through this thing. What a bear it's been getting ready. I guess if I don't make it tomorrow I will shoot for next Saturday. I'll post up my results when I get done.

Don't sweat it...Just tell 'em Randy said they can just give you the upgrade....

Seriously, good luck. The Extra test definitely takes a little more work than the Tech or General, but nothing you can't handle....just show 'em the inside of your FJ...

Re: Taking the "Extra" Leap
Awesome!!
Say hello to full-spectrum HF and welcome to the sub-portions of the bands.
So, what are your plans? What was the impetus for the upgrade?
Once you start working inside those segments you're going to be surprised to find out that this is where the worlds big stations play and where most of the DX is taking place.
If you need any help setting up a station, let me know.
