2010-10-24: Post BorregoFest Camping

Post by BorregoWrangler » Thu Oct 21, 2010 2:09 am

Since I don't have to be into work until Monday evening on the 24th, I'm considering camping out somewhere Sunday night after the BorregoFest Lost Ship of Pearls run and then heading home in the morning.

Right now one place I'm thinking of staying is at the Bow Willow Campground off Highway S2, which offers 26 primitive sites with toilets, fire rings and picnic tables. Boulder Oaks Campground on Old Highway 80, just off I-8 and Buckman Springs Road is another one I'm considering. Or I may just stay away from any developed camp and find a primitive one somewhere.

I know I'm going to be tired after Sunday's run so a short drive to set up a tent and get a campfire going while enjoying a drink sure sounds nice afterward. Then I'll have a full night's rest under my belt for the drive home. I also mentioned this to my wife in case she's able to drive out and meet me to where I'm camped Sunday evening.

So if anyone's able and interested, let me know! :D
