I noticed that this forum does not have a post yet in this section and I believe that proper land usage is an import aspect for all of us to be able to enjoy the outdoors and continue to return to our favorite spots and see the wilderness as it was intended to be. Tread Lightly! is a nonprofit organization offering a variety of tools to help arm recreationists and the industries that serve them with essential outdoor ethics. Our mission is to proactively protect recreation access and opportunities in the outdoors through education and stewardship initiatives.
The BlueRibbon Coalition is a national non-profit organization dedicated to preserving responsible recreational access to public lands. We want to keep your land open for use, whether you recreate on a mountain bike, snowmobile, motorcycle, personal watercraft, ATV, four-wheeler, horse, or your hiking boots.
Americans for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA) was formed to ensure that Americans are not arbitrarily denied the right to responsibly experience and enjoy the public lands that belong to the citizens of the United States. The members of ARRA, which include horseback riders, personal watercraft users, off-highway vehicle and snowmobile riders, and vacationing families, have joined together to provide input on decisions regarding land use designation, recreation opportunities, and preservation. National Parks Conservation Association, To protect and enhance America's National Parks for present and future generations.
The Wilderness Societyorganization works to protect America's wilderness to ensure that future generations will enjoy the clean air and water, wildlife, beauty and opportunities for recreation and renewal that pristine forests, rivers, deserts and mountains provide.
Trailwrights is a non-profit volunteer organization, the purpose of which is to promote environmentally sound techniques of trail maintenance and safe ethical hiking practices.
National Audubon Society - They strive to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.
American Hiking Society, a recreation-based non-profit organization, champions conservation issues, builds partnerships between public and private stakeholders, and provides critical resources to plan, fund and develop foot trails.
Defenders of Wildlife is a national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to the protection of all native animals and plants in their natural communities.
Coastal Conservation Associationis (CCA) a non-profit organization, to advise and educate the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of these coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.
