'90 Pathfinder - Box on Wheels

Post by big dave » Thu May 22, 2008 8:06 pm

I havent done much to my truck other than rebuild the entire suspension from the ground up. Ive replaced every single suspension and steering component with Spicer parts, rebuilt the entire braking system and new rotors and Axxis pads, Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 front coil springs on my rear axle for 3" lift, torsion bars cranked up front for 2" lift, 31" Procomp Xterrain tires, Calmini idler arm brace, and all new urethane bushings. My next mods will include 3" body lift, 33" tires, jerry can holder on spare tire swing gate, front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, winch, wilderness rack, stereo system, utility drawers, and some other small things. Steve from Rugged Rocks Communications installed my Cobra radio and 5' firestik for me on my way out to Mohave.

Its slightly modded for now, but im confident itll go places any average Jeep will go :)

Hey, Big Dave, sounds like you've done a lot of work for "not done much"...

I think your Pathfinder looks good, especially with the new wheels and tires...

I hate the look of the spare tire on the rear swing gate on the Pathfinder, so im taking on a little project. The spare tire holder actually bolts on to the swing gate, so i took that thing off and strapped my 5 gallon fuel containers to the gate. This week im gonna be teaming up with my neighbor to make a rack for the fuel containers using the existing holes and welded nuts on the gate to bolt the fuel rack up. Ill be using the spare tire carrier on my wilderness roof rack. Pics of the idea.

I plan to space them out a little in the center.

Rack against the garage. The rack is 4' wide, as wide as the top of the truck.

As soon as pick up a couple of lengths of square tubing, ill start making the rack.
