Update -
The Los Angeles Times reported today on the Johnson Valley Off Road area compromise agreement between the US Marine Corps and the off-road community.
The issue of off-roader's continued access to Johnson Valley has been a hot topic on the the politics of land use here in So Cal ever since the Marines announced they wanted to take over the area for training purposes.
While it is not a perfect solution, the art of compromise won out over politics and stubbornness, and both sides of this issue are satisfied with the results.
