ronb's h1
ronb's h1
ok, thought I'd check in here from Adv4x4. I've enjoyed wheeling with the guys over there for the past few years and hope to continue the fun here.
I have a 97 hummer open top. It is close to stock except some suspension work I've done to it. I bagged it last year and like it very much, I have a smoother ride and the extra height I occaisionally need on the trails. A bonus is still fitting in the garage...the caveat is leak-chasing!
It's currently in the shop absorbing more of my $$ for more goodies, but here are some pictures from the last few months:
hope to see you an the trails

Re: ronb's h1
yep, I'm there as well. I like to run the crazy trails with other h1's (so I can steal parts and aks when I break them) but I've run plenty of easy to med trails with the hummerx guys as well as the adv4x4 guys.

yep those are the guys I usally run with. We've shelved a summer tip to Moab or the Rubicon -- been busy getting our race truck ready. It's still in the testing phase but hope to run the Vegas to Reno. We are very excited about it and kudos must go to Rob Everheart for putting together a great truck from scratch.Ollie (K6JYB) wrote:don't you run with the Psycho Squad?
My truck's in the shop for another 2 weeks, I'm looking forward to getting back onto the trails!

Re: ronb's h1
unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I couldn't make the Calico clean-up and trail "corking." I can't believe the boys made it through, let alone with the trailers! I've seen the pictures and that is a pretty darn narrow trail for a hummer.
A few of us were at the Dishpan clean-up back in March. Rick (silver h1) dragged the kitchen trailer all the way to the slide area and cooked lunch for the troops. It was a great time.
