2011-08-13 Mt. Baldy (AKA Mt San Antonio) Hiking Report

Post by gon2srf » Sat Aug 13, 2011 7:20 pm

Success is sweet! The stats speak for themselves, the Baldy climb from Mankers Flats to the summit covers some severe elevation gain. I suffered severely from leg cramps from 9000' to the summit even after drinking two liters in 3.5 miles. It was worth every drop of sweat though and to share the joy of making it with your son is always special. Garrett was an awesome hiking partner although it was sometimes irritating as he made it look like a walk in the park.

Actual stats of today's hike downloaded from Garrett's Garmin Forerunner 310XT. Those are obviously not my heart rate figures, they are Garrett's who is a superb athlete.
