May 26 radio capable hikers needed.

This weekend we need some ham radio equipped hikers to help with a public service event.

Saturday May 26th starting at 5am to position on the Mt Wilson trail for the Mt Wilson Trail Run.

This is a race up and down the Mt. Wilson trail. This is to set up a runner safety net to ensure we can get quick assistance to a downed runner and to ensure all participants get off the mountain safely.

The event is generally done before noon. All that is needed is a UHF HT and a good pair of hiking shoes, and whatever comfort items you need for yourself water, light jacket, snacks.

We will be assisting Sierra Madre Search and Rescue.
