OAUSA Net – September 03, 2015 Driving on Sand & Dunes
Our discussion this week is all about driving skills and techniques when driving vehicles on sand and sand dunes.
We can discuss destinations for sand dunes, dune formation, how to achieve flotation, and other driving tips.
It might be useful to discuss techniques to get out of trouble such as stuck in a bowl, buried to your axles, and sliding sideways down a dune.
And any other related topics.

Floatation
The 3 rings are 33 PSI, 15 PSI, and 8 PSI
The front of the vehicle is to your left.

Dune Flag
Since 2010 Dune flags are required in California on all Dunes but it is a good idea on dunes anywhere.
Some recommend a flag front and rear of the vehicle.

Nice job - how did you get out? I see you have a winch. Did you have a buddy with you to pull you out?
See you on the Trail!
