OAUSA Net - 3/10/16 - Outdoor Adventure Bucket list
What's On Your Outdoor/ Ham Radio/ 4-Wheel Drive Bucket List?
Have you seen the movie, “The Bucket List”? If not, you’ve probably heard about it. Briefly, it’s the story of two terminally ill men (played by Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman), who try to atone for their lives by making the best use of their final days. As they travel the country—ostensibly while terminally ill, though they appear quite healthy—they enjoy all sorts of experiences.
The term “bucket list” stems from that movie, though people don’t feel they need to be dying to create a wish list. Instead, a bucket list is a collection of goals to be accomplished before the person “kicks the bucket”.
A bucket list is helpful too, because it helps you plan long term. The key is to stretch your imagination; go beyond thinking of the typical outing. A bucket list may seem fanciful, but it can serve a very useful purpose.

Re: OAUSA Net - 3/10/16 - Outdoor Adventure Bucket list
I'm really excited to be living in Alaska! There are so many great opportunities available to me here. This summer I have plans to drive up to the Arctic Ocean. I also want to drive around and camp in Denali National Park. When I leave Alaska I plan to drive the Cassiar Highway. I harvested a caribou this winter and hope to get a moose this fall. Dip net fishing of also on my list.

On top of my list is a backpack sheep hunt in Alaska. It's very difficult to get because it's very expensive and have to get time off work for at least a month. Another way to get it is through raffles. You have to be in fantastic shape too. Some day for sure!
I'm not sure I'll be on time for the net, can I pls get a courtesy check in?
Thanks,
Roger

My current bucket list, in no particular order. Many are very doable ... maybe this year:
1. Hunt wild pigs in California
2. Ride the Carizzo Gorge railway over Goat Canyon Trestle
3. Share an onsen (hot springs) with snow monkeys in Japan
4. Visit the mud caves of Arroyo Tapiado in Anza Borrego
5. Explore the east side (Split Mountain / Fish Creek) of Anza Borrego
6. Live near/in the desert for an extended period, preferably including "living off the land"

Bucket List
My friends that I ride with have a different ride we do each year these are a few we have yet to do
1..ride to and over all the Covered Bridges North America
2..To ride from Alaska To South America with less then 100miles of pavement So Dirt roads only
3..being that we have rode all over Europe Africa Central and South America and Canada we try to find more odd routes or next to impossible travel routes
4..have parachuted and hunted so these are not on my radar
5..every ghost town or odd named town city north America
6.. to ride min of 100 miles on every highway in North America
7.. east coast line of Africa
8.. to ride in the country of Chad
9.. TO RIDE IN THE DAKAR RALLY
remember the only thing holding you back from your dreams is your lack of dreaming
