Big Bear day run sometime during work week 7/28-31?

Post by unwiredadventures » Thu Jul 24, 2008 10:58 am

I have some relatives arriving this Saturday from Kansas. I'd like to take them on a trail up in the Big Bear - Lake Arrowhead area next week.

They'll be leaving on the next Saturday so I need to go sometime Monday through Friday.

I don't want to go solo. Anyone else available for a day run with us somewhere in the mountains during the week?

Hey Frank,

I am good for a day run, I can probably break free for a day.

Keep me in mind if you have any firm plans. It would have to be a day trip, as my camp gear is in a sorry state.

I hope all went well considering the earthquake and all.

Have a safe trip home.

Thanks! I didn't see the forum post before we left. It would have been fun to have you along.

During the earthquake we were driving down 3N16 today in the San Bernardino mountains. We stopped to talk to a guy working on his WWII Willys (Ford) Jeep under a tree. First thing he asks us, "Did you feel the earthquake?", nope not a thing since we were driving.

Were you being tracked with a Spot transponder or APRS system ?
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear really bright, until they start talking
