Just received notice of the passing of Kent Johnson W7AOR.
For those of you who do not know who this is, Kent was man behind the Western Reflector that made the availability of the Outdoor Adventure Net available across the nation and the world.
His efforts made the linking of IRLP and Echolink possible for our weekly nets.
David Cameron of IRLP fame says efforts are being made to bring back the services of the Western Reflector.
We at OAUSA are grateful for Kent’s contribution to Amateur Radio and a large part of our presence on the air. world.

Re: Passing of Kent Johnson W7AOR
I never had the pleasure of meeting Kent, but I got to know him well through his generosity and his dedication to the Amateur Radio world through his Western Reflector. For over a decade, Kent allowed us to hook up to his Reflector, enabling us to reach all parts of the USA as well as other countries, including the UK, Japan, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Kent exemplified all that is good about Hams, and he will be missed.
