I have a 2014 Jeep JK Rubicon (3.6L 5 Speed Auto, 72,850 miles) and the PCV valve failed. As a result, the plugs and catalytic converter became fouled. I had the PCV valve replaced and the plugs were replaced, but still got a P0420 code (catalytic converter error).
Now my Jeep is overheating. I had the thermostat replaced and the coolant system flushed. I also burp the coolant system several times but still have an overheating problem.
Used several cans of CataClean to clear the P0420 code to no avail. Not sure if my catalytic converter problem is the cause of the overheating. Several local general automotive mechanics have not diagnosed the problem. All of them are guessing with no real resolution to the problems.
Now I am searching for a Jeep mechanic to help me. I know that if I take it to a local dealership, I will need to take out a 2nd mortgage. (I live in the Banning Pass area, Beaumont).
I hope someone on the Board can help. Thanks!

In the general LA area the only mechanic I would trust to work on the mechanical portions of my rig is Frank at South Bay Truck. I'm not sure if he is ISO certified, but I can attest to his extensive knowledge of 4x4 rigs. Good Luck!!!
