My ride

Post by BigDave » Sat Mar 22, 2008 12:02 am

Right now I roll off-road on my 1991 Suzuki DR650s. I bought it used 4 years ago and can't seem to kill it. It is street plated so I can take it on the streets or freeway with out getting hasseled by the man. I go just about everywhere my friends go with the dirt only bikes. It just takes me a bit longer to get there. But that is mostly because I'm slow and don't feel a need to ride like my hair is on fire, most of the time. I'm not a small person and this bike does a great job of getting me where I want to go.

Here's a couple of pics

Here is my bike set up for shooting the Best In The Desert off-road races in Primm, NV last weekend for the Herbst 250. Photo was taken at 4:30am waiting for the race to start. I had to be in position long before the race started at 5:30am. You can see the race radio I have on the backpack and there is a Yaesu FT-60 in mounted on the handle bars that you can't see. I have my helmet wired to transmit and listen on the Yaesu and it works fairly well. I'll get a shot of the "dash" soon with the FT-60 and GPS in place.
