2008-09-28: Otay Night Run

Post by OLLIE » Sun Sep 28, 2008 2:52 am

At the last minute a couple of us (Frogeye, Lucrum, sdnative, and I) decided to do an Otay Night Run. We had never done Otay at night and Froggo wanted to try out his new LLS. As hard as it is to get pictures at night, I think I got some pretty good ones. The marine layer was rolling in over Tijuana and San Diego. It made for some awsome flourescent haze effects.

I knew that they deer hunted up on Otay but have never seen deer until tonight:

Great pictures Ollie, all your lights look great. Were you using a tripod during the city lights shots?

Were you airing up or down? Maybe you have a new contraption that sucks the air out of your tires? :D JK

I forgot the tripod. I used a spare tire for the San Diego shots and my mirror for the Tijuana shots.

We were airing down on that first one. We took a tire down too far and needed to add some air. :D

That was a fun ride. The LLS system works incredible. I saw my first Tarantula in the wild too. Man Ollie that camera works well. Did you get any photos of El Froggo with the lights?

Oh, we're going to have fun at night in Anza Borrego....

I think we'll rename the run "Coyote Canyon 'Light' "...

You had to have a minimum of 7 auxiliary lights to join the club. 8-)
