Licensing Net

I've heard that there will be a General Class Upgrade net after the Trivia Net on Fam-Comm (146.610). Does anyone else know more information?

Hey Ken:

I've heard that also. I thought that Mark was putting that together, but in the meantime I've heard some of the guys doing a kind of round table/net type thing in the last several days. There used to be a guy (sorry, I don't remember his name) who did an upgrade class in his garage that was announced on the Fam Comm webpage. Haven't seen it in a while. Upgrade classes sound to me like a good "activity", if not a good net.

I was just given a HF base rig and need to get my General ticket to take advantage of all it has to offer. I hope this picks up, I need all the help I can get. The General stuff is just flying right over my head.

Hey Dave,

I used the ARRL study manual to upgrade to General. I found it very understandable because its aim is to help you learn the material, not just take a test.
