Middle Willows early Friday morning Oct. 24th

Post by gon2srf » Wed Oct 29, 2008 4:17 pm

If you have never taken Coyote Canyon to the gate at Middle Willows I highly suggest it. Be sure to have plenty of food, water and proper gear. Because it is early in the season the trail looked like no one had been on it in months and I'm sure that was the case. It is a very rocky trail that is quite long and meanders back and forth through the river bed hiding it's direction quite often. I plan to camp up here in late November if anyone is interested.

The trail is on the right side of the photo. There were hardly any distinguishable tracks in many places.

Oh dude! I'd be so game for joining you on this one, Scott. I still say you should of woke my @ss up that morning. I would've rode along.

Also, I'd like to hike back into middle willows toward the cabin.

I have quickly come to enjoy your calm demeanor on the trail John and would really like to go out there with you. I hope we can work out the scheduling. Sorry for not waking you up.
