Calico?
I've never been but from what I've heard, its a great place to wheel, camp and explore. Sometime, within the next few months, I want to spend a weekend out there and get to know the area.

Re: Calico?
Calico is awesome John. I'll be out in Hinkley (23 mi. east of Calico) at my in-laws during Thanksgiving weekend 27th-30th. I can meet you out there if you can make it there one of those days?BorregoWrangler wrote:I've never been but from what I've heard, its a great place to wheel, camp and explore. That exciting assignment (I was assigned to manage that area for the clean up last year
that will not happen this year.
I truly hope everyone, even those of us who were banished to the dredges of Peggy Sue's side yard, will be willing to come out and help this year as well. OAUSA will not be doing yard duty this time...

Re: Calico?
I was up there this weekend on a camping/shooting trip. We camp and set up our range near Tin Can Alley. Didn't do any wheeling this trip as I'm currently between jobs and need to save money, so I rode up with a friend. Friday and Saturday were perfect days, but we got rain and it was windy as hell late Saturday night and we had a really cold, fast wind while breaking camp this morning. Other than a mostly sleepless Saturday night, it was a great weekend of shooting and camping.
