Yeah, I know... hot - but less people. I hate crowds. Besides, the desert just seems more serene/beautiful in the heat of summer.

2010 Moab... June/July?
I was talking with a couple friends today about doing a Moab trip this summer (I have never been, and I want to see it before it gets shut down). Any interest in a June/July Moab trip?

I have an annual trip to Moab in mid-May... mostly very experienced Touareg offroaders but we have had Jeeps in 2 of the 3 trips. You'd be more than welcome to come out with us.
We do it in May - after the melt / rains but before it gets ungodly hot. Usually best to think San Juans / Ouray in July

To address the point about people...
On our May trips, there have been may 2 or 3 other groups out there. Very quiet.
Moab is known more for its mountain biking, climbing, and what not. Yes, it gets a fair number of Jeeps, but they are widely distributed over the many trails. Of course, Easter Jeep Safari is an entirely different situation.
