The BugEater has gone through some changes inside and outside. I have a few more things to take care of then I'll completely update its build thread. My avatar has been updated but it is kind of small.

I was stowing my new ARB Freezer Fridge in my back seat because I had no room for it in the cargo area. I finally dirched the huge Contico box I had in the cargo area and created a home for the fridge back there. Tonight I fabricated a new cargo box for the open space so I had a place to stow my gear. One of the prblems with cargo boxes is access. If it is a top loader you have take everything off the top to get inside. If it is a side loader it can be a pain to stash everything in the box and utilize all the space. So I made a combination of the two. I'm going to road test it for a few days and see how it works out. If all goes well I'll paint it and show the final item when I revamp my build thread. I'm still waiting on a few goodies before I can complete that. Here are some pics of the raw box. It is made out of 3/4" plywood and stainless steel.

Nice work, a custom box is really called for with all that other stuff back there. I knew that fridge was big but it looks bigger than the old ones. Maybe just because the back is so full.

The fridges are about the same size. Only marginal differences. ARB really thought this new fridge out when designing it.

External Dimensions Capacity
Original (42 qrt)
20” x 25” x 14 1/8”

New (50 qrt)
20” x 28” x 15”
