
We did make it to the coast and it was incredible. Pristine to say the least and no one in sight. Found the rangers house, which was part of a ranch years ago. If you get a chance, give it a lookover. I didn't even know it existed.

Incedible beauty and desolation. I visited this area 20 years ago as I was exploring and surfing my way up to Oregon. It's amazing to see this much coastal wilderness in California. Nice map. I remember we went through Garberville. They had numerous head shops. The wife and I thought we had entered a movie set from the 60's. All the long hair, sandles tydyed shirts etc. What a sight to see. Even saw a bunch of old buses painted and vw vans from the 60's. A place where time stood still. Very Groovy![]()
