I see you guys took the "short cut"....straight up! That's pretty steep!

I had a real hard time on the very hard right turn the last time I was there, because of no rear locker. I made it....but I need one!

Straight up is the best way! We did the switchback on the way down though. Very tight turn.

Tell me, where did you find the old wooden mine structure? Out at the Carrizo Overlook?

Yep, out at the end at the Carrizo Overlook, then a short hike down a foot path.

That's the Carrizo Gorge tungsten deposit, which was a 25-foot mine tunnel near the railroad.
