I have a three day weekend in February from the 18th-20th for Presidents' Day. I wouldn't mind camping somewhere along the river or exploring someplace I've never been before.

Sounds like fun, I'd like to join in. I've been exploring the more recent history of that area for a while. February looks good.

How about camping out at Picacho State Recreation Area? There's fishing, hiking, and a few other trails in the area.
I also thought about camping further south on the river (Mittry Lake Wildlife Area) and then heading further into Arizona to explore more of the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge.
Just throwing out suggestions...
