If you would be so kind, I also have a Buddipole that I have never been able to get the SWR down low on. As a matter of fact. Jack has one as well. Perhaps we can set them up adjacent to each other and compare. I have a 4 position antenna switch.
If we orient them correctly, can’t we get them to couple together?

The trick with the Buddipole, is to adjust the elements a little bit uneven think off-center fed to get the impedance as close to 50 ohms as possible.
I will pack mine as well and maybe we can have a tune-off
